SCM Sustainability Specialist

As a SCM Sustainability Specialist for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Beijing, Shanghai, China, you will be applying your knowledge in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management, as well as corporate responsibility, labor rights and relevant legal frameworks and international standards to support, coach and train the organization in implementing and executing the SSBM program. In addition, you will support development of sustainability performance of local suppliers and conduct supplier awareness trainings.

Your responsibilities
Acting as central point of expertise for the implementation of SSBM in China
Supporting / coaching / training internal and external assessors on latest developments in legislation, auditing protocol and ABB expectations
Supporting / coaching / training local Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization to develop and maintain awareness of SSBM and support implementing SSBM in the supply base
Supporting /coaching / training division SSBM representatives on latest developments in legislation, auditing protocol and ABB expectations and share best practices and improvements
Leading / coordinating keeping assessment checklists in line with changing sustainability standards, regulations, and guidelines
Leading / coordinating further development of assessment checklists to cover more high-risk procurement categories
Coordinating assessor assignment to assessments and make sure the planned assessments are completed by the assigned assessors
Following up on status of assessments and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and make sure CAP closure rate meets KPI requirement
Your background
University degree with a focus on SCM, sustainability, HSE or similar
More than 5 years of working experience in supplier development and/or supplier auditing
Working experience in China
Good knowledge of HSE, Corporate Responsibility and labor rights
Good knowledge of Supply Chain Management
Good knowledge of Chinese legislation and understanding of international legislation
Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to various audiences
