Description:

OpsTech IT organization, with an unparalleled scope, is part of the Amazon’s WW Operations & Robotics team. We design, deploy and support IT infrastructure, devices and Services across Amazon’s Global Fulfillment Centers, Transportation (Middle Mile, Last Mile & Logistics), and Specialty Customer Solutions (Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, Lockers, Pantry, Campus, and Prime Air). Our customers range from Amazon lockers to Amazon’s Air Hubs.

Ops Tech IT Product Management (OTIP) owns, defines, and operationalizes products and programs to deliver highly reliable IT infrastructure and world class IT support, with the direct purpose to scale our support efficiently, improve service delivery speed, and drive new innovations for customers. OTIP establishes, practices, and enforces Ops Tech IT’s product development life cycle. The team supports global operations customers (first, middle, last mile) and internal teams.
We are seeking an experienced business intelligence engineer to visualize data within customer growth focused on Voice of the Customer and also delivering unplanned and planned customer demand metrics.

This role regularly requires close engagement with senior leaders and PMTs to generate insights and deep dives into core metrics that directly impact organizational strategic initiatives and priorities. The role requires high proficiency in complex SQL scripting, often joining together multiple types of data sets that range from normalized summaries to raw information spanning many diverse sources. The role will need to have a high bar for ownership and work independently to create high-quality products for the customer. The role is required to communicate product roadmap, prioritization, and release notes of new products with customer and stakeholder groups.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or multiple priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for the complex and ambiguous problems in the Customer Growth and Product org
- Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leaders
- Identify opportunities and key criteria to drive analytical reporting and business strategy
- Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective metric development and reporting
- Simplify and automate reporting and other data-backed activities; build solutions to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders
- Partner with our Engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure, data availability, and broad access to customer insights
- To develop and drive best practices in reporting: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Learn new technology and techniques to meaningfully support product and process innovation
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. to drive key business goals
