Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Cloud Architect with a minimum of 16 years of comprehensive expertise in cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions, providing leadership to the cloud architecture team, and ensuring the successful deployment of scalable and secure cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Provide thought leadership on the latest cloud trends, services, and best practices.
Architecture Design:
Design scalable and secure cloud architectures for complex systems, considering factors such as performance, reliability, and cost.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with business and technical requirements.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources.
Oversee the development of reusable templates and scripts for infrastructure deployment.
Security and Compliance:
Define and enforce security best practices for cloud environments.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.
Migration and Integration:
Lead cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions from on-premises to cloud environments.
Integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and applications.
Cost Optimization:
Implement strategies for cost optimization, including resource utilization monitoring, budget management, and the selection of cost-effective cloud services.
Performance Optimization:
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and scalability.
Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and mentorship to the cloud architecture team.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Vendor Management:
Evaluate and select cloud service providers and technologies that align with organizational goals.
Manage relationships with cloud vendors and stay informed about their product roadmaps.
Documentation:
Ensure the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 16 years of hands-on experience in IT, with a focus on cloud architecture and design.
Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a cloud architecture team.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Security Certifications:
Certifications in cloud security (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
Leadership Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem Solving:
Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and solve complex technical challenges.
Proven track record of implementing innovative and effective cloud solutions.
Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.

Vendor management across various vendors to manage talents and technologies at the best cost
Governance & People:
Manage a very large team of internal and external team members; ensure well-being, development & motivation, while ensuring delivery of CRs and BAU operations of the assigned areas
Manage the IT budget including adherence to forecast, optimization & compliance
Ensure proper governance structure is followed across all stakeholders

Proficient in stakeholder management across functions including senior leaders
Ability to handle E2E project journey including business value delivery
Strong business acumen to arrive at relevant solutions

People Management skill for managing large teams as well as stakeholders
Execution excellence and application support understanding
Project Management, understanding of Devops & Agile
Understanding of platforms & technologies used in retail ecosystem.
