The Role
Our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Consulting practice is looking for Product Owner/s to join our team.
We’re looking for a Senior Consultant who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in People Care initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. Responsibilities
· Domain / functional consultant experienced in Banking, Financial Services, Asset & Wealth Management, Capital Markets required
· Manage and prioritize backlogs, collaborating and representing Business Stakeholders in developing impactful product features
· Lead conversations between the Business and Technology to determine the what and the how of the product features
· Partners with Product Managers and Directors to elaborate features and user stories for planning cycles.
· Develops and writes user stories that align to the product features, ensuring that user stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and oversees their delivery to meet the Definition of Done (DoD).
· Develop partnerships with other technical and operational teams and maintain working rapport with others, leveraging these relationships to meet common project milestone/goal
· Accountable for ensuring all necessary testing completed for each feature
· Collaborates closely with the scrum master to ensure all scrum ceremonies are followed in a disciplined manner
· Excellent communication and coordination skills
· Ability to make quick informed decision and understand the clear priority and escalate as needed
· Must be creative to deliver innovative solutions to address critical business needs. Highly agile, and ability to quickly pivot the plan and execute.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and equivalent relevant experience
Minimum 5 years of Product Owner experience in Wealth Management/ Capital Markets/Banking & Financial Services, move money tool and onboarding experience is mandatory
Should be able to coordinate well with business and product and independently work to analyze and propose the solutions.
Hands-on experience with large integration products & platforms
Efficiently deals with cross-functional teams on impact analysis and dependencies
Excellent communication and Leadership skills.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Data Analysis skills, SAFe Agile Experience (Epics, Stories, Working in Scrum/Sprint)
Strong product background and the ability to generate new-gen business ideas and convert them into tangible product features
Demonstrated experience in problem solving and developing/integrating products from scratch
Experience in bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model
Ability to handle ambiguity and white space.
Demonstrated examples of building and launching products

· Certifications in SAFe POPM and SAFE Agile is a plus
