Senior Core Engineer
Fitch Group is currently seeking a Senior Core Engineer based out of our New York office.
Core Engineering is responsible for modern DevOps Tools, Cloud Environment Builds, and Scalable Infrastructure. The position will consider the existing tool sets of the Fitch Group and enable refreshed tools sets along with migration and enablement support. We currently are using Aws, Azure and may use other appropriate cloud providers in the future.

We’ll Count on You To:
Contribute to definition of scope and author infrastructure as code for core squad.
Provide technical leadership on core tribe tools during deployments and migrations.
Contribute to the Roadmap with Core Engineering, Program Manager, and Tribe Leads
Deliver next-generation Developer Portal and CI/CD tooling with Enterprise Architecture
Support our Build Pipeline, Config Management, and Cloud automation tools.
Partner regularly with Reliability Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Engineering to design new platforms and iterate on those in place.
What You Need to Have:
Proven track record of delivering results and impact.
3+ years experience working in cloud-first environments, delivering infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and automated pipelines.
Technical competency in: AWS services and scaled cloud computing; automation engineering; service telemetry environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
What Would Make You Stand Out:
You have experience with core infrastructure in multiple cloud architectures
Demonstratable scripting skills
Demonstrable deep knowledge with Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation and Istio
You developed core architectures as code pipelines where none existed or where you replaced inferior methods.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $ 155,000 to $ 175,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
***This is a hybrid role, with 2 days on-site and 3 days remote.
