• Recognised expert in one or more aspect of MS operations automation, at a regional or global level.
• Addresses and resolves highly complex MS operations automation performance issues or challenges including via technical leadership of highly-skilled teams.
• Interprets internal and external Managed Services new services operational and technology challenges and recommends how they should be overcome.
• Takes a leadership role in the development of innovative practices to improve Managed Services operations automation.
• Approves new and / or changes to guidelines and procedures used by Managed Services Development Operations (MS DevOps) engineers.
• Contributes to strategic decisions for not only Managed Services operations automation, but also Managed Services business.
• Contributes to development of concepts to determine professional direction of Managed Services delivery operations personnel.
• Acts as a professional leader for Managed Services operations, mentoring senior DevOps engineers.
• Often leads longer-term Managed Services complex improvement projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity.
• Manages new software versions releases based on scrum or agile release cycle to meet customer requirements.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Your skills and experience
Key must-have:
Good knowledge of DevOps technologies (examples: Azure DevOps, public cloud native services and components, GitHUB, Jira, YAML files, etc)
Thorough understanding of networks, and DevOps automation techniques
Experienced with Kubernetes and related technologies (docker, helm, k8s API)
Experience or familiarity with public cloud native services and components (AWS, GCP, Azure). Certification in public cloud solution architectures preferred.
Nice to have:
Experience or familiarity with IaaS/CaaS/PaaS infrastructure-as-code construction and deployment/configuration using Helm plus Terraform/Terragrunt, Crossplane or similar tools
Experience in networks. CCNA or equivalent
Familiar with GitOps (ArgoCD / Flux)
Familiar with Role Based Access Control concepts and constructs
Familiar with infrastructure security hardening standards, tools and best practices (eg. CIS Benchmarks)
Capable of troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure functional issues while building or supporting deployment and delivery automation
