What You’ll Do

The Senior Manager, Foundry Customer Engineering (CE) will manage the Samsung foundry customer's programs in various process technologies. This position requires you to work with both customers and internal teams seamlessly in different phases of customer engagement, from technology promotion, design engagement, testchip, new product introduction (NPI) to mass production.

The Customer Engineer will be responsible for the business growth by providing Samsung Foundry engineering services excellence. You will act as primary technical account interface with the Customer and all other functional teams in Samsung Foundry, and you are enabled to drive related teams to achieve engagement and production milestones in order to accomplish company business goals.

Location: Onsite at our San Diego office 4-5 days a week with an average of 5-10% of domestic and international travel.Req: 41801

Act as first line response to Samsung Foundry customer technical requests and serve as customer advocate to drive internal functional teams for the best results.
Manage customer meetings and internal meetings (F2F, conference call, etc.). Lead the negotiations with customer on technical issues in order to manage business impacts.
Support internal account strategy plan, coordinate alignment of business and engineering executions.
Provide customer satisfaction by developing customer relationship, responding to account actions, and driving collaborations on technical and cost-effective solutions to meet customer and foundry's goals.
Develop solid understanding of customer products and Samsung Foundry’s offering.
Manage foundry technical engagement process. Collaborate with engineering and business groups to ensure engagement activities are meeting customer schedule and technical requirements.
Establish strong partnership with cross-functional teams and coordinate between customer and Samsung Foundry on design service, PDK quality, library, IP portfolio, product qualification, yield ramping, and reliability.
5-10% domestic and international travel.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Science with 15+ years of experience or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Science with 13+ Years of Industry Experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Science with 10+ yrs of Industry Experience Preferred.
Recent experience in Semiconductor process, product or device engineering required
Experience in SoC design is required.
Recent experience in semiconductor process, product or device engineering is highly preferred.
Strong customer orientation, excellent communication and presentation skills.
Expertise in one or multiple of these areas: foundry customer engineering and account management, fabless design house foundry technical interface, process technology development and process integration.
Proficiencies in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
