Senior SharePoint Engineer



The Fitch Group is seeking a Senior SharePoint Engineer to join their Collaboration Services team in our New York office.

Collaboration, specifically SharePoint, is paramount to the success of how Fitch employees work on a daily basis, and this role will be pivotal in enabling and expanding these capabilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring and supporting various Microsoft Office 365 components, with a focus on SharePoint Online. Other components include: Azure AD, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online and Intune. The ideal candidate should have broad knowledge of technology, with a focus on SharePoint, collaboration and end user technologies. The person should also have experience working with stakeholders integrating business applications with collaboration technologies. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Collaboration Services.

We’ll Count on You To:

Function as the Subject Matter Expert for Fitch’s M365 SharePoint Online environment
Responsible for the day-to-day engineering and support of Microsoft 365 services: SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online and Azure AD
Configure SharePoint Online sites and document libraries, including permissions, content types and metadata.
Partner with business stakeholders and technology partners to integrate SharePoint Online and other M365 collaboration platforms with business applications and processes
Drive the enterprise migration of disparate file shares into SharePoint Online
Provide input and drive strategic business uses for the M365 and SharePoint platforms
Manage Security and Compliance policies within M365 in relation to ensuring the platform is secure and managed. This includes, but not limited to, internal and external document sharing, data classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Drive integration of 3rd party governance and provisioning tools for SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
Troubleshoot technical escalations from IT Operations and Service Desk staff


What You Need to Have:

7-10 years of experience in Information Technology
5+ years of Microsoft Office 365 engineering and support experience
Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online
Experience with SharePoint migrations from on-prem environments
Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Azure AD
Proven experience implementing and applying online collaboration technologies to strategic business initiatives
Strong security mindset when applying end user technologies
Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and team-oriented
Strong focus on the end user experience
Organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to deal with change and excel in high-stress situations
Prior experience working in a regulated industry
Experience managing multiple collaboration platforms


What Would Make You Stand Out:

Experience with Microsoft Power platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and PowerBI)
PowerShell scripting a plus

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $150,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
