What You’ll Do

You’ll manage multiple EH&S programs across local and regional sites. We seek a candidate to help bring EHS continuity between all our sites and help expand EHS programs while always working to improve continually. You’ll be challenged with bringing in new technologies to help assist with EHS management across several sites.

Location: Onsite at our San Jose-based headquarters five days a week with an average of 10% monthly travel.

Reports to: Sr. Manager, EHS

Direct Reports: N/A

Develop written EHS programs and procedures to meet company and/or Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
Inspect, audit, and assess sites to ensure EH&S requirements are being observed. Document and follow up on audit findings, ensuring they are tracked to completion.
Identify and mitigate hazardous workplace conditions by conducting job hazard analysis. Prioritize major risks and assist with corrective actions to mitigate hazardous work conditions.
Assist with the response and investigation of all onsite injuries and near-miss incidents.
Assist with coordinating fire-life safety inspections, employee emergency response team, medical emergency program, and emergency preparedness drills and procedures.
Conduct training on select environmental, health, and safety topics.
Collaborate with internal partners (Facilities, Workplace Solutions, Security, and Lab personnel) in the pre-planning of new processes or jobs.
Manage internal EHS workflows for hot work, building impairments, and incident reporting.
Maintain and update the Safety Data Sheet online program.
Oversee hazardous waste disposal and maintain associated records.
Manage third-party consultants and vendors on select EHS projects.


What You Bring

BS Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering with 3+ years of experience with EHS, ideally in a research and development setting or a related field preferred
Multi-disciplinary background (EH&S, industrial hygiene, emergency response management)
