Join Solutran (part of Optum Financial) as a Solutions Consultant where you will be responsible for understanding detailed client needs and defining how our solutions can meet those needs. These requirements may be gathered via RFPs and client-facing meetings, often in person, and translating requirements to internal teams.

This role is foundational in setting our clients and project teams up for successful implementations. These responsibilities will span the entire lifecycle of enterprise client relationships, beginning with the first project and continuing through subsequent projects, requiring elements of long-term account management relationship fostering.

During strategic sales events, meetings and presentations, the Solutions Consultant is called on to articulate Solutran’s technical vision and configure and present complex solution demonstrations. The individual is expected to work side by side with our account team and customers while making sure that our product development and engineering staff is kept abreast of product strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.

The position requires a unique blend of business development, listening, analysis, design, and communication skills. As a senior, experienced member of the team, it is expected all of these responsibilities are well honed and effective. It is the individual’s responsibility to document processes and playbooks to ensure future team scale.

Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in the sales analysis process; assist internal sales, executive personnel, and strategic partners to complete pre-sales analysis to determine information required for the client presentation, matching the prospects needs with our services and product capabilities
Support the account management team as an expert on the technical and integration aspects of Solutran solutions throughout the sales cycle
Clearly collect and document all client requirements via client onboarding packets
Kickoff and facilitate internal project kickoff meetings with project management and sales
Articulate the value of the proposed solution in the context of the client opportunity and requirements, including current and future product efforts
Provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for major accounts
Support sales personnel in proactive road mapping sessions to assist our customers in prioritizing needs and budgets
Coordinate and/or create content and review for technical, compliance, and security content in RFPs
Assist the sales personnel in the qualification of client needs and perform pre-demo needs analysis
Demonstrate our products, both standard and tailored to prospects and existing clients, both onsite and remote
Manage and run weekly Product Committee meetings to drive new client requirements through the business in a controlled and high visibility fashion
Act as the subject matter expert related to how Solutran products are integrated, secured, and technically operated

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a technical sales consultant
5+ years of experience writing error-free, client facing business requirement documentation
5+ years of with demonstrated client meeting presentation and facilitation experience.
3+ years of experience working with Healthcare Services, Insurance or Financial Payment Systems
Location: Even though this position is remote U.S. it must accommodate a Central Time Zone work schedule and be available to support clients in all U.S. time zones
Travel: possibly 10-20% to client sites in the U.S. (nationwide), domestic conferences and headquarters in Minneapolis, MN

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field
Experience with Agile Project Management
Background in ITIL, Service Management, Asset Management, IT Management
Expert level experience in MS tools including PP, teams, excel, word
