The Senior Executive Consultant is an integral member of the senior leadership team of PNW. Responsible for organizing and coordinating executive leadership efforts in operational, strategic, and business development opportunities on a regional level. This will include analyzing data, synthesizing presentations and driving results from the key stakeholders involved in the work. Together with the chief of staff, ensures the activities of the senior team and staff of the executive office runs smoothly. Coordinates and supports organizing and monitoring of multi-year strategic plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

49% Project and executive leadership coordination

Coordinates and helps organize the strategic and operational activities for the PNW regional leadership
Coordinates key strategic initiatives as directed by market president and chief of staff
Determines meeting agendas, collecting materials, ensuring timelines are met, and key outcomes are achieved
Prepares executive-level presentations to present with leadership
Responsible for helping the Market President and other senior leaders create materials essential for communicating with key stakeholders
49% Special Projects

Partners with the Market President, Chief of Staff, and other senior leaders in defining agendas and coordinating workflow aimed at strategic development and aligning regional goals. Helps identify, prioritize, manage, and implement associated strategic projects
Leads special project teams, under the president’s or/and chief of staff’s direction, by initiating meetings, defining goals, action steps and timelines
Responsible for creating the flow of information between the regional leadership meetings and any workgroups for key market initiatives
Helps drive and direct and deploy resources to achieve organizational priorities
Develops metrics and tracks progress of strategic projects

Ensures confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA guidelines and UHG/Optum policies
Attends training to meet requirements of the job position and as needed or mandated by UHG/Optum policies, Div. of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH), OSHA, L&I and other state/federal regulations
Has regular and predictable attendance
2% Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of continuous improvement philosophy, principles and tools
Experience in assessing opportunities, defining cause & effect implications, and identifying improvement strategies
Extensive business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of organization and functional area
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with budgeting and contract(s)
Solid analytical and communication skills
Exceptional project management skills
Demonstrated skill in communicating effectively and persuasively, both orally and in writing
Ability to effectively utilize the full range of approaches, from directive to consultative, when working with teams and internal or external business partners
Ability to organize, direct and lead special projects
Ability to translate broad strategic themes and goals into workable projects
Ability to synthesize information from a diversity of sources to develop strategic recommendations
Able to identify and develop improvement opportunities on cross-functional and business level issues

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. Others Requirements:

5+ years leadership experience
5+ years healthcare experience
Change management organizational development or equivalent experience successfully managing systems and people
