We are seeking a skilled Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, as well as move them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks. You will also be required to perform routine pre and post-inspections to ensure the forklift's functionality and report any malfunctions or abnormalities to management. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
This job involves performing manual and clerical duties related to receiving and shipping materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products. The duties include receiving goods, verifying items against the record of shipment, and inspecting the condition of the received goods. The job also includes packing items for shipment according to the specifications and transportation method used, and recording received and shipped items according to established procedures. Additionally, routing materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas, completing written and computerized documentation, and operating powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift is also part of the job. The position requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience, at least one year of related experience, and basic reading, writing, and numerical ability. Forklift certification is preferred but not required. A valid driver's license with a good driving record may be necessary. Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are also necessary for this job.
