SECTOR OVERVIEW

Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.


POSITION SUMMARY

We-re seeking a Strategic Account Director to join our Planning, Permitting and Licensing practice within southern New England (offices in Lowell, MA, Waltham, MA, East Providence, RI, Windsor, CT, or REMOTE).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS

Responsible for cross sector (Environmental, Power, and Infrastructure) selling of services to New England centric government, private clients, and utilities. A key stakeholder in delivery and interfaces with clients regarding their satisfaction with TRC-s services.
Be responsible for ongoing regional growth of TRC-s Planning, Permitting and Licensing practice in New England through client and business development and by providing direction on major project pursuits and general marketing.
Develop and maintain a book of business along with a billable utilization target.
Work to cross-sell TRC services and increase business from existing accounts.
Serve as point person for solicitation requests and dissemination of requests to the correct person in operations.
Oversight of proposal response and project delivery teams in terms of providing coaching and guidance.
Delivery/execution of project work for existing and new clients.
Have a significant role in maintaining quality and profitability on TRC-s projects, as well as assisting with managing and developing the skillsets of Project Managers and other employees and resources to ensure our projects are executed with a high level of efficiency and technical excellence.
Possess strong verbal, written, presentation and excellent client management skills; demonstrated ability leading and managing complex projects; as well as being goal oriented, quality focused, and have demonstrated success with creating and fostering a team environment.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Bachelor-s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related fields.
10 to 15 years of experience performing and managing the planning permitting, compliance, and engineering studies for transportation/environmental/energy projects.
10 + years of global operations/program/construction management and environmental consulting experience
Operational leader skills.
Proven track record with business development, business management and oversight of regional businesses.
Experience managing cross disciplinary scientific and engineering teams and front-end project development projects.
Strong business acumen and attributes, coupled with a commitment to TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters of Science Degree preferred.
15 to 20 years of experience.
TRC-s strategic clients operate in the transportation, utility, and conventional and renewable energy sectors. Expertise in these areas is a plus.
