Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager - Renewable Energy
Salary Circa: £82,779 - £103,474 + Bonus
Come and join the Renewable Energy Commercial sourcing team at Mars, Inc. - a forward thinking global company tackling the most pressing climate challenges. In this role you will oversee regional project portfolios (e.g. - Europe, MEA, and beyond), partnering with the supplier community to develop best in class agreement structures and risk mitigation instruments while working across a range of cutting edge decarbonization technologies for electricity and industrial heat - including biomethane, biomass, concentrated solar thermal, thermal energy storage and electrification of capital assets.
This role will be an excellent fit for somebody with deep experience in renewable energy procurement, project development and/or finance, strong negotiation and supplier relationship management acumen, and expert project management and leadership skills. This includes focused experience in onsite industrial decarbonization and renewable energy projects.

Expert experience in managing onsite renewable energy projects
What will be your key responsibilities?
Develop and coordinate on-site (and off-site) renewable energy projects with suppliers while partnering closely with internal Mars stakeholders including engineering, finance and sustainability teams
Develop and execute best-in-class sourcing strategies
Actively participate as a member of the Global Category Team and establish/maintain collaborative relationships with the category buying managers in the regions
Build category sourcing expertise to provide market and financial insights and inputs to the operating plan
Working in partnership with the Global RE Category director and other functional stakeholders, take the Commercial lead on onsite projects across the region
Lead/support on individual projects in other regions as practical
Co-lead and support on large, national scale offsite RE projects
Be the direct relationship manager with key internal regional stakeholders
Develop targeted market analyses to support sourcing strategy development and go-to market strategies, including coverage for all renewable energy technologies
