job summary:
A manufacturer in the Philadelphia area is looking for a Supply Chain Supervisor. Candidates will need 3+ years of logistics experience in a manufacturing setting. Should have good communication and negotiation skills. Must know regulations and documentation for the import and export of goods. Will be asked to proactively request, track, and chase missing information required for the transportation of goods. Salary and benefits.
responsibilities:
Complete required transport-related documentation and liaise with other departments as necessary.
Point contact for all transportation questions.
Proactively request, track, and chase missing information required for the transportation of goods.
Proactively monitor open orders to ensure they are never delayed due to transportation issues, resulting from missing information, poor planning or lack of communication.
Point contact for freight carriers and brokers.
Request freight quotes as necessary to support the sales team.
A measurement of your performance will directly corollate to feedback from your customers regarding the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of communication
qualifications:
Experience level: Experienced
Minimum 3 years of experience
