Your responsibilities
Secure material availability by proactively managing the supply network
Manage supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply of materials
Coordinate and monitor open purchase orders, reschedule orders when needed
Manage supplier buffers and optimize ABB inventory
Proactively work with Planning & Fulfillment to optimize MRP(Material Requirements Planning) strategies and parameters (planning strategy, lot size, safety stock, reorder point, rescheduling logic)
Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on inventory status, delivery schedules and potential issues
Your background
Bachelor degree and 5 years of relevant work experience or Associate degree and 7 years of relevant work experience or High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant work experience required
Travel up to 10% required
Proficiency in using SAP or other ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) software as well as MS Office Suite required
Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes highly preferred
Strong data analytics with Continuous Improvement mindset
Demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business environment
A collaborative, solution focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
