About the Role:
As a CBRE Sustainability Analyst, you will drive the continued development and maintenance of global data, analytics, and reporting for sustainability initiatives within a CBRE enterprise client account.

This role is part of the Energy & Sustainability (“E&S”) function and will be centrally responsible for improving the comprehensiveness and accuracy of ESG data, delivering actionable insights, and assisting in the deployment, management and optimization of a comprehensive E&S Program to improve the client’s sustainability performance and progress their climate action journey.

This is a remote position. Candidate must be located in Eastern Time Zone.

What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with the Energy and Sustainability team on-site and remotely to meet client goals and enhance current service offerings
Collect and analyze monthly utility bills (e.g., electricity, water, sewer, gas, oil, waste), verify their accuracy and adherence to rates and tariffs, resolve issues that may arise, and investigate variances to understand and communicate trends and root causes
Analyze monthly ESG data and conduct reviews with team members to validate normalized savings, develop exception reports, and help provide relevant insights
Contribute to annual assurance and disclosure processes, including timely and accurate preparation and cataloging of data for the client’s GHG inventory, regional regulatory filings, and other public disclosures
Develop reports and dashboards to monitor compliance, savings, and the overall effectiveness of sustainability projects and programs
Support the CBRE and client leadership stakeholders with timely reports and help address ad-hoc requests as required against carbon, energy, water and waste goals
Recommend, develop, and implement continuous improvement strategies to automate data ingestion into a new reporting platform, and increase the quality and timely availability of ESG data
Assist with the implementation of the client’s energy and sustainability strategy, including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 audits, energy management programs, and other savings and decarbonization initiatives

What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with substantive exposure to quantitative methods and analytics, and 2+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
Ability to pick up new topics quickly, efficiently analyze information, compose reports, and communicate insights to team members, partners, and clients via Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Desire to work through projects with keen attention to detail, and adapt to changing situations and audiences with tact, poise, and a solution-oriented mindset
Excellent organizational, time and project management skills, owning project deadlines in a flexible, collaborative manner with stakeholders across multiple time zones
Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and contribute to a positive, productive work environment
Knowledge of financial terms, principles, and statements desired
Nice to have: Experience with different analytical tools, databases, visualization tools and related software solutions (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau), and an understanding of data flows
Nice to have: Experience in sustainability topics in commercial real estate and financial institutions

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sustainability Analyst position is $65,000 annually [or $31.25 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Sustainability Analyst position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
