Broad outline of the Role
IT professional with expertise in deploying and configuring systems on Linux and Microsoft platforms, database management, and virtualization technologies. Skilled in security patching, backup operations, and proactive maintenance. Proficient in VMware systems, large-scale data center support, and Windows System Administration for L1 Activities.

Key Responsibilities
Deployment and Configuration Support:
Proficient in deploying and configuring systems on Linux and Microsoft platforms.
Database Management:
Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL and other database servers.
Develops processes and procedures for various types of database backups.
Virtualization Technology Expertise:
Specialized in Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) with Cisco UCS and Nutanix.
5 years of experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining VMware systems.
Security Patching and Backup Operations:
Conducts Windows security patching and backups across diverse environments.
Storage Management and Administration:
Adept at managing and administering storage on different vendor servers.
Backup and Disaster Recovery Planning:
Monitors backup operations and updates disaster recovery contingency plans.
VM and Hardware Resource Monitoring:
Monitors VM and hardware resource health, including load balancer expertise.
Proactive Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Performs proactive maintenance, including upgrades and patch installations.
Troubleshoots issues related to full and incremental backups and database restoration.
Documentation and Process Development:
Creates user accounts and manages access control on VM applications.
Develops documentation processes for efficient system management.
Data Retrieval, Recovery, and User Feedback:
Develops procedures for data retrieval and recovery.
Designs and implements efficient end-user feedback and error reporting.
VMware Systems Expertise:
5 years of hands-on experience with VMware, including vCenter Server and vSphere Suite.
Large-Scale Data Center Support:
Capable of supporting large-scale computer systems in a Data Center Environment.
Windows System Administration:
Proficient in Windows System Administration, including AD, DFS, DHCP, and DNS activities.
Technical Competencies
Hands-on experience on different servers Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu, Windows server 2016 & 19
Hands-on experience on vmware.
MS Office- Excel, word and Power point
VCP5/6 certification preferred
Knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN
Experience with VMware NSX, vRealize Suite, and Horizon View is a plus
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) preferred
