Our beta/benchmark platform, Bloomberg Index Services Ltd (BISL) is a provider of fixed income, inflation-linked, and swaps indices offering unmatched market coverage and a full suite of customized client solutions for benchmarking and informational needs. The BISL platform also includes a diverse family of alpha generating strategy indices that offer quick and easy access to out-performance sources and a quantitative way to express investment strategies, in markets that would otherwise be difficult to access. Index products are available across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX, commodities, derivatives, and alternative investments.
What is the role?
The Global Equity Production team is looking for a Team Leader to lead a U.S. based team responsible for the creation, monitoring and maintenance of proprietary benchmark and custom equity indices. Our team handles standard and complex corporate actions, evaluates pricing and index inputs, assesses index outputs, and validates final index production. In addition, this team leader and their team will play a crucial role in further developing Bloomberg’s Equity Index offering and platform, partnering with collaborators and clients and drawing upon deep subject matter expertise. Risk management, controls, the regulatory environment, and various aspects of reporting will also be essential areas of focus.

Be a strong and dedicated leader who can communicate a clear vision about where the department is heading, what your team’s part is in it, and how you’re going to get there together as well as align closely with global counterparts
Develop the team's subject matter and data expertise, aligning to the current industry standard methodology and trends to be able to proactively spot gaps and opportunities for future innovations
Attract, coach, develop and retain a team of individual contributors
Drive product strategy and development while ensuring the distribution of data, technology and governance for clients
Build trusted and collaborative relationships with key collaborators across Bloomberg including Data, Sales, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance
Have a workforce plan that enhances the skills of the team, fosters collaboration, and encourages diversity
Build processes and standards that enable delivery of data that meets or exceeds client SLAs and supports superior customer service
Demonstrate strong domain knowledge, specifically in US equity markets, and the ability to coordinate with regional teams in the delivery of global products and handle customer issues
You’ll need to have:
3+ years of relevant leadership experience
3+ years of experience in a professional Data driven role as well as experience with equity indices, equity corporate actions and client management
A Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant data technology or financial field, or equivalent professional work experience
Excellent problem solving, communication, and project management skills
Strong operational and process management/improvement skills
A shown ability to establish strong credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external clients and partners
Proven understanding of data feed technology and data visualization tools
Excellent understanding of the commercial landscape in which Bloomberg operates, along with comprehensive knowledge of financial products and the ways in which our clients consume data
Excellent communication skills, allowing you to clearly communicate business needs and to advocate on behalf of your team as well as communicate business and operational strategy to your team
Creative and flexible approach to problem solving and a strong solution-seeking posture, aided by strong data analysis skills

Salary Range: 135,000 - 180,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
