As a part of the Customer Documentation organization you will create user documentation for the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of Nokia network products which are the building blocks of the 3G/4G/5G mobile core networks and beyond. The professional teams design and develop innovative documentation solutions that enhance the customer experience and add value to our products. As a technical writer with a good command of the English language and excellent writing skills, your technical understanding as well as your interviewing and information gathering skills will prove invaluable, as you work together with technical experts on complex products.
You will use your technical background and/or product knowledge to drive the redesign of the user documentation for Core products, both from structure and content perspective
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• BSc/MSc degree preferably in electrical engineering, information technology, telecommunications or English Language and Literature
• Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
• Substantial understanding of customer needs and requirements
• Proactive attitude; self-motivated personality; ability to cope with tight deadlines; working independently, as well as in local and global (virtual) teams
• Experience or capability in driving/coordinating moderately complex projects
• Ability to understand overall business situation and to interpret to own tasks and responsibilities
• Efficient information gathering skills
• Interested in technology topics
Preferred skills:
• Relevant experience in technical communication
• Relevant experience with Core products in R&D, System Verification, Technical Support, New Product Introduction (NPI) or Network Planning and Optimization (NPO)
• DITA/topic-based writing and information design experience
• Rich Media and interactive user documentation creation expertise
• Software testing background is a plus
