About the Role:

As a CBRE Union Relief Engineer, you will responsible for operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for the assigned property(s).

This job is a part of the Technical/ Engineering Services functional area which focuses on providing technical support on a variety of tasks, including performing preventive and ongoing maintenance and repairs on equipment/systems, and evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield.

What You’ll Do:

Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
Maintain heating equipment, chillers (air and/ or water cooled), DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV, and air distribution systems, etc.
Verify field conditions and perform any important repairs or adjustments.
Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors and other general repairs.
Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures (water closets, urinals, flush valve assemblies, lavatories, etc.)
Perform preventive maintenance duties including changing filters, cleaning coils, flushing condensers, punching tubes, etc.
Inspect engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling tower, all motors, house pumps, electric rooms, back-up generator, fire pump(s), sump pump(s), and ejector pumps. Replace lamps, light fixtures, reinstall or replace signage, verify rooms are clean and clear of obstructions and debris.
Check for operating emergency exit signs and lights and ensure easy access to emergency stairs and exits. Perform fire and life safety inspections as per NFPA and local jurisdiction.
Document and report activities to supervisor - report any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stop work if required.
Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.
Finish the required Safety Training as scheduled.
What You’ll Need:

Must be a current Union member.
5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
Valid driver's license.
Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc.
Knowledge in energy management systems, techniques, and operations.
Detailed knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Union Relief Engineer Role is position is $129,800 and the max for this role is $146,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
