Description:

Are you passionate about bringing connectivity to underserved customers? Do you want to work in a dynamic team building, launching and operating a satellite service for consumers from the ground up?

The Project Kuiper North America Consumer Business is looking for a talented individual to lead the US consumer business. This role is responsible for launching, scaling, and operating the residential broadband service for US consumers—with full P&L responsibility.

A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrixed organization and adept at understanding how businesses work in the US. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially in consumer related products.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop the go-to-market strategy, business models, and distribution plans to launch the Project Kuiper residential broadband service in the US
- Analyze, develop, and recommend consumer service plans, solutions, and models
- Engage in business development efforts and contract negotiations required to launch residential broadband service in the US
- Develop bottom-up operating plans, pricing strategy, and demand forecasts
- Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders
- Prepare detailed business cases for justification of new opportunities
- Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to engage in business partnerships and local regulatory efforts
- Once operational, own the P&L, meet business goals, and deliver a fantastic customer experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 7+ years of launching and scaling new technology products, services, or businesses

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience thinking and working creatively to develop unique joint value propositions and product strategy within a partner ecosystem
- 7+ years in technology, media, or telecommunications; satellite internet; or subscription services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
